Prepare to Accelerate

Easter is here.

Jesus Has Risen!

Take a moment today to read Mark, chapter 16. This day, this hour, is the pinnacle of the Christian faith.

“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”

Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid…

…When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.

Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.

Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it."

Wow. What a scripture. If you took the time to read all of it, perhaps you felt like me. In my spirit I feel a sense of urgency that I have not felt in many many years. Do you feel it?

It is a very special hour. Resurrection is here!! With the world growing darker and darker, the kingdom of heaven will shine brighter and brighter.

Jesus has invited us to “Go and tell the good news that he has risen!”

YOU are a vessel of honor that will bring forth fruit in due season.

NOW is the time for you to have clarity, peace of mind and a plan of action like you’ve never had it before so that you can make an impact that will last for eternity.

People who do not yet know Jesus need you to tell them the good news. Unbelief is rampant, but it was back in Bible times too. Jesus is empowering us today to Go, and we can do it in his strength, his grace and with the assurance of his love.

How can you practically prepare to GO?

  1. Clear out the clutter. Mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally, it’s time to release anything that is holding you back. It is hard to run a race swiftly when we are burdened with weight. Scripture says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1

  2. Expand your capacity. We increase our capacity through practice, practice and more practice. As we get better at accomplishing tasks, we become more efficient and have room to do more. When we do the things, we have to do today, we are honored with an increase tomorrow. Complete your most pressing assignments so you expand in knowledge, skill and talent. Build stamina by running just a little further and just a little faster each day. Soon you will come to realize you are at a steady, productive pace and your capacity has grown.

  3. Connect to your people. You can either go fast alone or run far together. Accelerate by delegating, communicating and cheering others on. Soon you will find the crew who is meant to run with you for this season. You will swiftly and securely pass the baton, one to the other, winning the race with joy and celebration!

There is only one you. Only you can do what you were put on this earth to do. Get to it today! The world is waiting.

Ready, Set, Go!

Love and hugs,
