Daring December

December is here, and I’m daring you to do it.

Step into the new thing God has for you.

Walk into the new room.

Push gently on that door that’s already standing ajar.

Take a moment to breathe as you ease into your new reality.

I dare you.

I double dare you.

I double dog dare you.

Let go—just let go—of what isn’t serving you anymore and step into 2026 brand new.

Yes, it’s scary.

Yes, fear tries to follow us.

Yes, leaving comfort feels like losing control.

But this month?

This month is about lifting your eyes to a new perspective, leaping into a new role, and leaving behind the weights and distractions that have been pulling you away from God’s calling.

It’s about lingering in the sweetness of life.

It’s about loving deeper than you have all year.

And it’s about wonder.

Because December holds the greatest wonder of all:

Jesus was born.

Heaven touched earth.

Light entered darkness.

Hope wrapped itself in humanity so we could walk in courage, redemption, and purpose.

When you look up at the stars this month, remember the Star that once led wise men to the Savior.

Ask the Holy One who created the galaxies—and who formed you—to give you the courage to grow.

You’ve got this.

And I am with you.

Practically Walking This Out

Take inventory of the ways you haven't been daring greatly.

Notice where fear has held you back.

Laugh at the old patterns—and release them.

Ask God to move, shift, and maneuver in ways you could have never imagined.

Say yes to something beyond yourself… the same way Mary said yes to the angel, and yes to the impossible.

1. Read scripture daily - Pick up an Advent devotional and dive into the book of Luke. You will relive the Christmas story each day this month.

2. Memorize Psalm 23 and Psalm 100 or pick your favorite Psalm to put to memory. Record yourself reading it aloud each day. Make up a song with hand motions to help you remember. Get creative with this!

3. Be obedient to let go of what is hindering you. When decisions come up that you can control, instead RELEASE.

4. Exercise extreme discipline this month, by exercising, eating clean and sleeping well each day Monday-Friday. When the weekends come, you'll be ready for the festivities and make good choices for your physical and mental health.

To recap - It's December, it's time to dare…

• Dare to believe what God has spoken.

• Dare to receive what Heaven has prepared.

• Dare to step boldly toward 2026.

Let us take hold of every promise God has spoken since the beginning of time.

Let us dare to live as people who believe Jesus came not just to save us—but to lead us into abundant, radical, fearless life.

May we rock the world with our faith.

A Brand New Brand New U

Every month this year, from July to now, I have released themes without knowing how they would unfold.

Sometimes I speak in big concepts, sometimes in faith-filled ambiguities—but every month I've been releasing the words God has been giving to me. I hope you have enjoyed these devotionals and prophetic encouragements and I hope they have helped to cover you with God's truth over your journey.

They mirror the exact transformational journey we teach inside Brand New U. And each month as I have released a new devotional, I have received so much encouragement from you as the readers, and I want to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate it! As the year has progressed, God has continued to crystalize the original vision He gave for me for Brand New U - way back when I was working in a cubicle at the Zig Ziglar Corporation back in 2009.

Brand New U exists to equip and empower purpose-driven leaders to grow in faith, business and legacy. It is time for us to multiply from a solopreneur venture with me generally doing most everything, to build an online university that will last long after I am gone.
